SARTE
WHAT IS OUR MISSION
Serbian Association of Railway Traffic Engineers (SARTE) is a non-governmental and non-profit association, founded for the purpose of developing and improving railway system and engineering in the light of practical application in railway traffic and transport.
The main goal of the Association is to improve the work of railway engineers, through the organization of activities related to all forms of professional training and education in all fields of railway engineering, from design and execution of works to operation in traffic and transport and regulations.

The main activities of the Society are focused on enhancing the knowledge and awareness of its members about innovations in railway engineering, current professional challenges, and new regulations. The primary form of activity consists of lectures, which are almost always accompanied by presentations.
Round Tables, Panel Discussions

Numerous current issues, as well as the challenges of railway development and its future, require examination from various perspectives and thorough discussion. The round table and panel discussion formats are, if one may say so, the most democratic ways of exchanging diverse opinions on a particular issue.
International Cooperation

The Single European Railway Area (SERA), or a unified European railway space with an open railway market, is already a reality today, regardless of EU membership status. Therefore, no issue remains solely your own, and in this context, international cooperation, including that of our Society, becomes a crucial form of engagement that we will continue to strengthen in the future.
Society Assemblies

The Assembly is the highest governing body of DIŽS, consisting of all Society members. All key programmatic and statutory decisions of the Society fall under the jurisdiction of the Assembly. It convenes at least once every two years.
