About Us

OUR MISSION AND GOALS

Serbian Association of Railway Traffic Engineers (SARTE) is a non-governmental and non-profit association, founded for the purpose of developing and improving railway system and engineering in the light of practical application in railway traffic and transport.

The main goal of the Association is to improve the work of railway engineers, through the organization of activities related to all forms of professional training and education in all fields of railway engineering, from design and execution of works to operation in traffic and transport and regulations.

The Society preserves tradition and esteemed customs, while at the same time courageously fostering new, modern values and relationships. It is committed to technological innovations in building and creating a modern railway system in Serbia for the benefit of all.

At the last Assembly of the Society, a decision was made to expand membership to include all railway engineers, granting the right to join the Society to anyone who has graduated from a technical faculty.

We focus on the development and improvement of railway engineering and systems in the field of practical application in railway traffic and transport.

Constant Improvement

The members of the Society continuously enhance their professional knowledge through various forms of training organized by the Society, particularly through diverse channels of information on events and innovations in the railway sector. Experienced members selflessly share their knowledge and expertise with younger colleagues, improving their skills, especially at the beginning of their professional careers, fully aware that in doing so, they protect the reputation of the profession within society.

Preservation of Traffic Safety and Environment

The members of the Society promote, advance, and prioritize traffic safety and environmental protection in their work, applying appropriate technical solutions that reduce waste and pollutant emissions while monitoring the state and effectiveness of environmental safeguards.

Solidarity and Professionalism

Members of the Society support, assist, and unite with each other to protect professional interests and enhance the reputation of the railway profession and railways within society. They are committed to upholding the status and authority of the Society.

Commitment to Scientific and Professional Standards

In performing professional activities, members of the Society should apply professional standards, guidelines, and scientific knowledge that exclude superficiality in work and decision-making, as well as providing opinions based on orders, requests, or preferences.

Truthfulness in Public Relations

In relations with the public, media, business partners, and colleagues, members of the Society are committed to truthfulness, respectful dialogue, and the objective presentation of facts and information concerning railway engineering and systems, as well as professional conduct, always keeping the general interest of society in mind.
