We Gather Experts

Our Association was created as a association that gathers only graduated railway traffic engineers. In the period of 18 years of existence (and coming of age), a lot has changed in the near and wider environment, the framework of the railway sector, the system of value in Serbian and European society, that is, in the whole, we can already say, globalized world. Looking at all these changes, at the last SARTE Assembly, a decision was made to expand the Association so that our members can be all railway engineers, i.e. engineers of all professions working in railway companies or in other railway-related companies.

Thus, regular members of our Association will be able to be all graduate engineers who have graduated from one of the technical faculties without restrictions whether they have graduated from the faculty in Serbia or abroad and at the same time work in a company engaged in one of the following activities:

railway infrastructure management,
transport of goods,
passenger transport,
organization of transport on the industrial tracks,
freight forwarding or logistics services related to rail transport,
manufacturing of railway vehicles or parts for vehicles, reconstruction and maintenance of vehicles,
production or maintenance of equipment, plants or parts for railway infrastructure,
railway traffic and transport planning,
construction of railway infrastructure,
design of vehicles, their equipment and parts or any other segment of the railway system,
state institutions (ministry in charge for transport, railways regulatory bodies, etc.) under whose jurisdiction fall activities related to the railway system and directly affect the railway on various grounds,
educational and scientific-research institutions, consulting firms and non-governmental organizations that have railways in their program of action from different perspectives (users of railway services, consulting firms, non-governmental organizations, etc.).

RAILWAY SECTOR

Members of our Society may include all graduated engineers working in any of the listed fields, whether in the Republic of Serbia or the Republic of Srpska, or those who hold Serbian citizenship and are employed in the railway sector in another country on any continent.

We hereby invite all interested parties to contact us to register their interest and to receive an invitation for the Society Assembly, which will be held in the fall of 2024. During this Assembly, we will adopt the necessary amendments to the Statute and formalize all required decisions and documents.

Until then, our website will feature only the professional section for transport engineers.

SARTE is engaged in organizing professional lectures, round tables, and similar gatherings; arranging professional visits and excursions; providing expert opinions in the process of drafting laws, regulations, standards, strategies, and spatial plans; and establishing and nurturing partnerships with various domestic and international institutions.
