MISSION AND VISION

SARTE

How to Become a Member

Who can become a SARTE member today and how?

What changes are planned for membership expansion?

According to the current Statute of the Association, regular members of SARTE can only be graduated master railway traffic engineers from one of the universities in Serbia and the former SFR Yugoslavia, as well as graduated and master railway traffic engineers from other countries, upon certification of the diploma at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering University of Belgrade.

At the last Assembly of the Association, a decision was made to extend the Association ‘s membership to all engineers who works at railway sector, so that the right to join the Association will be acquired by all those who have graduated from one of the technical faculties (mechanical, civil engineering, electrical engineering or other technical faculties), without restrictions on whether they have graduated in Serbia or abroad and at the same time works in one of the railway companies or other organizations engaged in any of the following activities related to railways: management of railway infrastructure, transport of goods, transport of passengers, organization and transport on industrial tracks, forwarding or logistic operations related to the transport of goods or passengers, manufacturing of railway vehicles or parts for vehicles, reconstruction and maintenance of vehicles, manufacturing or maintenance of equipment, plants or parts for railway infrastructure; design of railway traffic and transport, infrastructure, vehicles, their equipment and parts or any other segment of the railway system; construction of railway infrastructure, state institutions (ministry responsible for transport, regulatory bodies for railways, etc.) under whose authority activities related to the railway exist and directly affect it on various grounds, educational and scientific-research institutions, consulting firms and non-governmental organizations that in their program of action they are involved in railways from different perspectives (users of railway services, consulting firms, non-governmental organizations, etc.).

These changes will be implemented into the Statute and adopted at the next SARTE Assembly, which will be held this year in the fall. The expansion of membership is a response to changes in the environment and in the railway system itself, i.e. response to increasingly complex railway problems and challenges of the new environment and technological innovations.

One becomes a member of Association by signing the application form, which implies acceptance of the provisions of the Statute and Code of SARTE, by submitting photocopies of the diploma and diploma supplements, submitting a photo for making a membership card and paying the membership fee for the current year.
